Spoiler alert: This article contains major spoilers for Season 3 of Farmer Wants a Wife.

Fox's popular reality show Farmer Wants a Wife offers a fresh twist on The Bachelor, with a dash of Yellowstone flair. Four self-described farmers are hoping to find love in a big city way. Rather than figuring out what they might be doing wrong, these cowboys cast their nets wider, seeking connection with women living far from their rural worlds.

That's right — city girls are heading to the country in search of a slower life and a sweeter husband on Farmer Wants a Wife. Of course, not all of the contestants are quite ready to make it work with our rugged rodeo chaps.

Here's a look at the contestants who went home on Farmer Wants a Wife (hopefully, the women were able to hail a cab on their way out, not a cow!)

Who went home in Season 3, Episode 9 of 'Farmer Wants a Wife'?

No one is sent home in Episode 9, as each of the four farmers is down to his final two ladies. Instead, it's time for family introductions — the farmers meet the women's families, and the women get to know the farmers' loved ones.

We're getting down to the wire, and the farmers are making some tough decisions as they narrow their search for love to just two women each. Some, like Jay, are clear on what they need — he ends things with Rissa, citing too many differences between them. Thankfully, Rissa understands, and they end on good terms.

As for John, he doesn't have to make the call himself. Juliana, his mom's pick, decides to bow out. She explains that they haven't had enough time to connect, and leaving the farm feels like the right choice for her.

Over on Matt's farm, he decides to send Halleh home, admitting he just isn't feeling the connection. Emotions run high as she tears up, and the two share a heartfelt goodbye.

When it comes to Colton, he confesses he's still torn between his final three women. That uncertainty pushes Bailee — a clear frontrunner all season — to self-eliminate.

She tells Colton she wants "to be wanted" and doesn't feel that with him. Colton respects her honesty, and Bailee later tells the cameras, "I am not what Colton is looking for, and he is not what I need."

Elsewhere, Colton lets Hope know that he doesn't see a future with her. She completely understands, especially since she's had her own doubts about their relationship.

Later, John and Kaylee also call it quits. She tells John that she's going home, saying, "I just feel like I don't look at you and think like, 'Ah, I love him so much.'" He agrees, suggesting that the spark just isn't there. They share one last hug before saying goodbye.

Later, at the barn dance, Rachel pulls Matt for a chat and tells him she's going home. It may seem abrupt, but it ties back to the drama involving Halleh sneaking out of the house early in the morning.

Although both Halleh and Matt vehemently deny meeting up, Rachel doesn't believe them at all. Matt is visibly upset by Rachel's departure, but she tells the cameras she's standing by her decision. Plus, she doesn't think someone she's meant to be with would break her trust so early in the relationship.
